Beth Nazar joined the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) in 2012. In her current role as Associate Director, Beth supervises a team of professional staff and students to enhance international student and scholar engagement therefore supporting international student retention and the professional and personal success of international students and scholars. Beth is responsible for OISS international student and scholar engagement and outreach to the Tulane community, including communications and programming. In addition, Beth leads the International Student Advisory Board which allows international students to represent the needs and concerns of international students at Tulane and to work towards improving the Tulane experience for all international students. Beth holds an M.A. in Romance Languages from the University of New Orleans and a B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Latin American Studies from Tufts University. During much of the over twenty years that Beth has been in the field of international education, she has been an active member of NAFSA, frequently volunteering for leadership roles, attending, and presenting at conferences.
